Bad news is I’m going to have to read Van Til and the Bavnik (did Bavnik exist when I was doing the MDiv?) and a bunch of other gnats and annoyances, like Barth.
The good news is I don’t have to lead any discussion on it and could in fact just skip the Van Til class, though that’s against my philosophy. I have to lead the discussion on Aquinas and that fell to me entirely fortuitously. Can’t wait.
Can’t wait, actually, to read Athanasius and the Cappadocians for this week, the next two weeks of Augustine, and the following Aquinas. On what? The Trinity. I don’t think I’ve ever been looking forward to a class’s reading more. What a joyful moment.
