Now here, from my ongoing in-depth study of birds from a distance, you can see how more menacing the fowl can be if you have more vertical wings than not.

Congratulations on acheiving a deftness of brush-stroke here. It’s hard to depict bodies of water, but you’ve done it beautifully. I appreciate the green irradiance in the upper left – it seems original to me, but it also gets at what I feel about such summery days and places. And the composition – that swell in the right that tapers off at the left, drawing the eye to the birds and by extension the airiness, which is intensified by the blue mistiness behind the trees – you’ve actually created a sense of air and that’s the only thing you can’t really paint. Well done. I would hang this.
